Permisul provizoriu pentru începători; plăcuțele L sunt obligatorii în UK, D în Țara Galilor.

După promovarea testului practic primești permis complet – 2 ani de probă (new driver): la 6 puncte pierzi permisul.

Asigurarea

Minimul obligatoriu este Third Party. Nivelurile disponibile: Third Party Only, Third Party Fire & Theft, Comprehensive.

Fără asigurare: amendă £300 + 6 puncte, iar mașina poate fi ridicată.

MOT
EN:MOT
Test tehnic anual obligatoriu pentru mașinile mai vechi de 3 ani. Fără MOT valid mașina nu poate circula (excepție: drumul spre atelierul MOT programat).
EN:Yearly roadworthiness test, mandatory for cars over 3 years old. Without a valid MOT the car cannot be driven (exception: to a pre-booked MOT test).
Impozit auto (VED) și V5C

Impozitul auto se plătește online la gov.uk și se poate verifica după plăcuța de înmatriculare.
EN:Vehicle tax is paid online at gov.uk and can be checked using the registration plate.
V5C (log book) = certificatul de proprietate; anunță DVLA în 7 zile la vânzare sau schimbare de adresă.
EN:The V5C (log book) is the ownership certificate; notify DVLA within 7 days of a sale or change of address.

Dacă poliția îți cere permisul, asigurarea și MOT-ul și nu le ai la tine, poți fi obligat să le prezinți la o secție (HORT/1) în 7 zile.
